Regional Lighting Sales Representative

We're looking for a smart, passionate, motivated individual who loves sales, who isn’t afraid to walk up and talk to strangers and who wants a genuinely rewarding career path with serious long-term earning potential. Position offers a competitive salary and commissions.  

The position will require a well organized, self-starter who is capable of creating and maintaining strong relationships.  As the Reginal Sales Representative, you will work with upper management to develop market share, develop new business. You should focus on developing the business opportunities in your territory and support your customer.  We provide the job training; you provide the initiative and desire.

The Lighting Sales Representative Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish new accounts and new markets to break into to increase market share.
  • Provide product information and address any questions on products and service we offer
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers and implement marketing programs to meet company goals and review forecasts and sales numbers regularly to ensure target sales are met and address any discrepancies.  
  • Establish and maintain accurate prospect and customer’s records.
  • Make recommendations to management relating to effective sales methods and techniques.
  • Conduct on-site education at customer’s sites that promote the company’s product offerings.
  • Cold Calling on commercial and retail customers
  • Attending local Tradeshows and industry events
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, assist existing and potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes, and new customer accounts, coordinate with Sales and Operations teams, and close sales
  • Keep management informed by maintaining accurate customer and pipeline records
  • Revenue generating position. Majority of time in field is devoted to generating new customers. 
  • Proactively networking for new customer contacts with intention of building long-lasting business relationships
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices and sales
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status




  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate with have over five year of lighting sales experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Must be results driven with exceptional decision making and judgment skills.  
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills and a sales aptitude.
  • Self-motivated, results-driver character.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Lighting, Electrical, or Construction related experience is required
  • Strong written and verbal skills are essential for this position. Applicant must be able to exchange detailed information with co-workers, our clients and our vendors concisely and must have a firm grasp of the English Language
  • Team Player who strives for continuous improvement
  • Bilingual and effective phone skills a plus.

    Job Type: Full-time/Independent Contractor

    Compensation: Base plus performance bonuses/commission
